The number one complaint
Frigidaire not cooling: the causes we find most.
Defrost system failure
Heater, thermostat, or control stops the cycle, the evaporator ices over, and the fridge climbs into the 50s while the freezer stays cold. The most common Frigidaire fault we see.
Evaporator fan motor
The fan that pushes cold air into the fresh-food section wears out. You may hear a loud whine, then nothing.
Dirty or blocked condenser coils
Frigidaire condensers sit low at the back and collect dust and pet hair. The compressor overheats and cycles off early.
Damper or thermistor fault
The damper that meters cold air into the fridge sticks, or the thermistor reports the wrong temperature to the board.
Start relay or compressor
Clicking every few minutes with no cooling points to the start relay. A silent compressor with a hot case points to the compressor itself.
Door gasket not sealing

Why is my Frigidaire freezer cold but the refrigerator warm?
Almost always a defrost failure. Ice covers the evaporator coil and blocks airflow to the fridge. We replace the failed defrost part and clear the ice in one visit.
My Frigidaire clicks every few minutes and does not cool. What is that?
The compressor start relay trying and failing to start the compressor. Sometimes the relay is all it needs. We test the compressor windings before replacing anything.
Is a ten-year-old Frigidaire worth fixing?
For a fan, defrost part, thermistor, or gasket, yes. For a compressor on a basic model, usually not. We tell you which side of the line your unit falls on before you commit.
